Okie dokie. It's time for the most boring part of any website - the rules. We all hate em, but we gotta have em.
Now, let's go over general rules first.
Now, let's go over general rules first.
1. Respect all members!
This is not the place to be trash talking, cussing, fighting, or any of that. The point of this site is to freely write with any characters you want and any pairing you want. We will not tolerate disrespect.
2. No spamming
C'mon, spamming's friggin annoying. Don't even start with those blasted online chain letters. Those things are just a friggin pain in the ass. Spam, your comment is erased.
3. Listen to all admins and mods
The reason why we have admins and mods is to keep the site running smoothly. If we tell you something, you need to listen and not be rude. Any rude or disrespectful behavior to anybody with authority on this site could result in temporary freezing to banning an account
4. Check spelling and grammar
Spelling and grammar is pretty important. I'm not going to be a nazi about it, but if we can't understand what you wrote because of so many mistakes, it's a problem. So keep that in mind in all posts
5. NO HARRASSING
If we have any reason to think you are harrassing anybody on this site, you are banned! No if's, and's, or but's about it.
Now we'll go over rules in posts
1. Do not overpost in one category
Ok, let me explain. Say you have a pairing with Marik. And you find someone who's willing to RP as Marik with you. You guys go into the one-shot categories and start a story. Then, you want to start another story and RP with another person as Marik. And then you start another one, and so on. PLEASE do not do this. I do not want one person in fifty billion one-shot stories with the same pairing. Try and limit yourself to three or four at the most
2. People read what you write, so be aware of mature content
We may have younger members on this site, so I want you to remember this when you post. HOWEVER, I'll be honest, some rated M fics are the best. So, if you think you will do something that's mature, inform me and you can start in a password protected board. This way, you can write what you want to and nobody else is weirded out.
3. Please don't only RP as OC's
I love being OC's, but you need to be willing to act as canons for other people. And you can even mix up your pairings in a single RP or work on two at the same time. But we need willing people to be canon
4. Check spelling and grammar
Yeah, this one again. Just make sure all entries are coherant. I won't become a grammar nazi so long as we can understand you
5. You are allowed to post in multiple threads with the same character
Yeah, you can have your character in more than one thread. This applies to canons and OC's, but in some situations there are limitations
6. NO tresspassing into other RP's
You are not allowed to randomely post in someone else's thread. You need to have permission to join in an RP from EVERYONE involved in writing it. The point of this site is to RP as pairings or do a story with people. Not to randomely intrude and write a bunch of pointless stuff.
7. Don't just drop RP's
PLEASE don't start a story and leave it. If you want to leave or something for a while, then let me or a mod know and we'll hide your thread. Or, if you don't like your RP, ask for it to be deleted, we'll do that. But don't just leave it. It spams up the site
Rules for Story RP's
These threads are threads that involve claiming charaters, pairings, and following a pre-determined plot.
1. Same rules about grammar and respect and spamming apply
The same rules about spelling and grammar apply along with respectng other members and no spamming.
2. Do not claim a character or pairing that's marked out!
If you see a character or pairing on the list that looks like
3. Post to get a character or pairing
To claim a character or pairing, just make a post in the thread and ask for the characters. An admin or mod will add it to the list
4. Follow the plot of the RP!
Self-explanitory. Please read and follow he RP's plot. If you don't like the plot, don't join in the RP.
5. Characterization is very important
When you claim a canon, you need to be willing to stay as true to that character's personality as possible. Obviously OOCness can happen, but try to make it as seldom as possible
These are the most important rules. I might add more, so keep checking for updates in the rules. Please follow them!
